That's today! zhobo quite a bit.. sahi and patrick came in to check on us and we ended up talking about how chinese put their last names as their first and how confusing it is.. chatted for like, an hour? then later george came in to check on us and we chatted for like, another hour. They should come in and check on us more often i say. heehee. Had lunch w andrian george and kevin at hunan east.. really loved it!
curry beef, the onions were fantastic
George brought us to the call center where technical support was carried out, and even though it was just a spur of the moment trip, i really learned a lot from the tour!! i realised how the company actually has so many offices around the world, how they place the call centers globally such that they cater to the different time zones [in terms of both time and language] and can also implement 24h support at the same time. It's so clever. And each technical support person actually knows only a small area [but very much in depth!] so they need a very big team. And each cubicle had rows and rows of equipment that they use in simulating the customers' problems! the most amazing thing is that our company provides support all the way from the very first product which some customers are still using. so here we managed to see super ancient plcs.. the size of a little safe! ha!! damn cool.
this is a programming terminal! ancient!
after lunch and the tour i went back to the office and started bugging everyone.. and these pple requested for a photo. duno why they wanna take also, i mean that is like so uninteresting. we also planned a little [ok, actually i just listened to koksong give us his plan] for the boston/NY trip nxt wkend! that wld be waaay cool! =)
