Loooong over dued post on my zoo trip. As part of our weekly-dunno-whats-left-to-do-in-Cleveland trips, we visited the African Wildlife Safari.. never gone to one b4, was wondering if there were lions and tigers roaming the wild land! =)
on the way there
lunch consisted of 1 cheeseburger ($1) + 1 mc chicken ($1)
i really need to save up!! sob

the poor monkeys were so hungry [or greedy?] they reached for and gobbled up all the dried leaves within their reach. So pple started throwing the leaves towards them and they wolfed them down! Check out the similarity in the 2nd photo.. jy hungry too?
this bongo was pretty majestic, yet friendly.
wild boar!! reminds me of maplestory hee.
i luvv llamas. they have this real comical, cute furry look.
too bad that's not a donkey but a camel. haha!!!
the anteater was antisocial, hid in the corner.
this was a pig race, conducted by appointed kids. hilarious.
we next proceeded to the drive through safari.
see? proof that jy really loves his animal feed. it was provided so that we can feed the animals along the way, and horrible jy wanted to eat it?!! the hungry animals how?
our first animal friends. the greedy one in the middle stole our whole cup away from us, leaving us losers with no more animal feed for the entire journey! [ahem, lousy jy]
llamas again! super long eyelashes! kinda reminds me of snuffaalogous. or candy. haha!!

this cutie kept licking my hand! even tho i had no food haha quite stupid of him got cheated.

and this bison ( is it?)... didn't think it wld be tame enough to approach our vehicle.
but i was wrong!
stuck his face into ma window to say hi.. complete with green snot on his slimy nose. EW! that made me scream and recoil in horror. pretty exciting though. this mischievous bison also sneaked up to jy's window and gave him the scare of his life. hahaha! [actually dunno whether it's the same one. they all look the same to me heh heh.]

notice i hafnt been putting captions. thats cos i hafnt got much idea what these things are exactly. this is one of the times when i wish toad was around to give me an overview of the animals' history, origin, species, class, diet, living environment, throw in a couple of greek mythology and astronomy, maybe some chinese literature.. until i give up listening and make some rude comment about his ramblings and piss him off. heehee.

one happy giraffe who took off with sebastian's cup. at least their cup got stolen at the end of the journey and not in the beginning like us..
the poor cars desperately needed a carwash. full of sand, snot and saliva! [that's my window btw hahaha!]
super cute toys. no tiger/leopard/lions in the zoo/safari though. they bluff!
i wanted to bring the toys home!
we went to the walmart supercentre where there was dr rabbit promoting colgate toothpaste. also saw that interesting yellow funds collection box in which your coins would go through a lil slide thingie before reaching the bottom. i wonder how much it costs to make that in the first place. the pict on the right is a gumball machine.. was really tempted to try but the gum looked so huge i was afraid i wld choke on it or something. =p
and lastly, i met the Dr Seuss' Cat in the Hat!! ha!
