jy suggested going tobogganing, so off we went! Tobogganing always reminds me of calvin and hobbes. I never knew what yukon ho stood for, but now i realise that yukon refers to the yukon territories of canada. Well, judging from the number of crashes they go through, I was pretty apprehensive about this 'sport' but well, where else could you try something like that right?
We, kinda lost our way and ended up in this metropark. guess what they were doing?
Ice fishing!!! That blue thing is heated inside, so 爽!
The people there were really friendly and patiently/proudly explained their equipment to us. That box thingie automatically jiggles the bait, and when the fish bites on, a flag pops up! Really cool. They also have super high tech devices that tell you where the fish are.. Madness.
digging a hole in wallace river
how thick the ice is. they are such jokers!
So cute right?
After asking for directions, we finally landed ourselves at the tobogganing place. Check out the slope:
so, actually it isn't like what calvin and hobbes did [i.e. slide down some random slope until you crash into a tree] but there was actually a track for you to go down! Really steep though! And I love how it's so primitive, it's really just a cement track. You gotta get the toboggan from this shed raju is in, and carry the toboggan up yourself! On top, this guy will make sure you're holding on tight, and he'll crank a lever and down you go.
queuing up. i look like an
no winter activity is complete without a hot chocolate
