I fully appreciated doing totally nothing at home on Sunday, and eating loads of chocolate cake with milk. =) After homecooked dinner with kev and yl, the 3 of us drove to Tops to buy loads of groceries.. waffles, pancakes, bacon, steak, gatorade, cherries to stock up for the coming week. It really feels good to just nua3. Too bad it's already tuesday and we gotta go back to work tmr (so soon! urgh!)

After resting loads on Sunday, we finally got out butts out of the apartment at 8.30 am for a 1.5 hour ride to Cedar Point at Sandusky, Ohio! Heard that this is one of the top 10 amusement parks in US.. it has crazy rides like this:
Top Thrill Dragster: This is actually a roller coaster. brings u up and back down in about, 4 seconds? i call it siow. Some of them actually wanted to try it (brave souls: kev, ks, erwin, cy) but too bad they couldn't (after queuing for a long time) cos of the drizzling skies. Well, at least they were luckier than some people, who got to go up after the drizzle stopped a little, but somehow it wasn't quite working and they came back the way they went up!!! so damn freaky!!

Me and puji refused to get on the first ride, Raptor.. actually on hindsight i really regretted not going cos we had to wait about an hour for them.. and it was one of the more fun rides. I wasn't really intending to go on any too-thrilling-rides cos of my heart history and i am just Hum4 but after a while you feel kinda dumb not trying such things at an amusement park. And i was kinda forced into one of the most scary rides around...
What happened was we went to the next ride, the Iron Dragon which had only a 1/4h waiting time. It looked really mild so i thought it would be good as a warm up. Hee. It also went through the trees and stuff so i thought that would be quite fun. So we went up and up.. and the carriage came to a stop.. for about.. 20minutes? Stupid ride, it wasn't even fun.. and it made us wait there for so long!! a bit freaky at first but at least they sent this guy called Nicola up to reassure us a little and talk kok to us. So we had time to take some photos.. while in midair.. haha.

Well, the best (or worst) part of getting on this crappy ride was, after the ride, the operators told us we could get onto the Millenium Force without queuing! And the queue for it is probably about, 2 hours? So that was a bonus for us! Even though i was kinda freaked out cos i didn't even intend to sit such crazy rollercoasters, i followed the operator and the rest to the front of the line at Millenium Force rollercoaster thinking that i would just opt out when i reached there. I don't know what got into me, cos it was a really good opportunity and all, i ended up walking towards the seat and putting on the buckle. =( as we climbed up THAT slope i was muttering 'why am i here' repeatedly.. ok actually i was screaming that already.. haha. But it was really a good thing cos I really enjoyed it.. it was crazily scary but well, shiok. hehe. and that got me started..

They also took photos of us on the ride itself in some tunnel but we all looked so pathetic and scared and in the photo that we didn't buy them. haha.
We were hungry after the rides and so it was lunch time! The whole park was full of JUNK FOOD.. haha.. really totally junk, just hotdogs and popcorn and burgers and chips.. Most of us bought a Johnsonville Brats meal for 4.25:

It began to drizzle during lunch and so we walked around aimlessly for a while. We also didn't wanna take any rides that were too thrilling right after lunch in case our lunch came out.. heh.
In the end we decided to go for bumper cars!
After the nonsense non satisfying bumper cars, the crazy people went to queue for Dragster (as above) and puji,raj, sebast, andrian and me went to try the Corkscrew. (yl didn't wanna go) There was a 45 min waiting time. This, as the name suggests had lots of loops! But it wasn't very high and was a very short ride.. it was just nice. I enjoyed it but it wasn't long enough. maybe two times around the whole track would have been just nice. hehe.

After the corkscrew, we waited for some time for the poor Dragster pple to give up on queuing and then walked around. There are many games around the place, that give really cute and HUGE toys!! For just $2 or $5 for a try! So it was superbly tempting to give it a try.. we tried our hands at this game where you had to throw a ring round the bottles.. We bought a HAT of rings for $10 and the operator, Leon was from spore! Well.. we thought we could probably get many soft toys cos we had so many tries, but.. it was really more difficult than we thought. sigh. We didn't even manage to get one toy.. so sad! but at least we got the mad hat as yl is wearing in the nxt pict: =(

I also tried my hand at a guessing game, where the operator had to guess ur weight within 3 pounds, age within 2 yrs, or birthday within 2 months! I went for the weight and she guessed 124 pounds.. I stepped on the huge weighing machine and... i was 127 pounds!! Damnit i am so suay!! There went my $5.. and no soft toy.. so depressing!
The rest also tried some games here and there.. there was this ladder game which kev and ks tried, you gotta climb up this horizontal ladder which was pivoted such that it could overturn.. if you climbed up and reached the top to press the buzzer, you get a huge gorilla.. too bad it was a lot more difficult than it looked too. =(
It was very saddening to see so many pple with loads of soft toys and our whole gang didn't even have one. so loser!! grr.

Hurhurhur. After which, we went for the Mantis! this is one cool rollercoaster cos you actually stand on it instead of sitting!! there's this lil adjustable bicycle seat thing to rest on though, otherwise you are just standing there!

And here's a magnet i bought with a photo of me screaming like crazy on the ride. I was well prepared for a photo this time after seeing my ugly pose in the Millenium Force photo. haha. So I smiled and pretended i was enjoying myself throughtout the whole ride, until we reached the flashes. hehehe. ok, i was really enjoying myself! Check out kevin who looks pathetic nxt to me.. lol. and also ks and erwin who didn't pose as well.. lousy!!
It was finally time for some souvenir shopping.. hehe.. i bought cute snoopy mugs, magnets and postcards.. the usual lah. The snoopy magnet and mugs were cool cos they had the actual rides on them.. nice! =)

It was 9+ when we dragged ourselves out of the amusement park. We ventured into a pizza buffet place which had buffet for 8.99 and we gorged ourselves silly. actually i only had 3 slices of pizza, but it was pretty satisfying! A great way to end our very fun day at the amusement park.

This is totally out of point, but i just wanted to show off my breakfast today!! yl and me woke up at like an amazing 1pm and slowly made breakfast hee. Waffles with icecream, scrambled egg, fried bacon, milk and fresh cherries! Perfect way to start a totally nua3 day is to start it at 1pm. haha.
Anyway, I've just spent a whole freaking day blogging these 2 entries. Sigh. it's already 6.30pm and no one is suggesting any outing to fireworks =( looks like it's really gonna be a nua3 day!!! boo.
