I originally took leave today to bring them around, but george suggested wednesday instead cos I really should let them rest for a day after that long flight and jetlag and everything. So I went to work, but at lunch time I brought them to hunan east!

They pretty much enjoyed the braised beef and dou miao. And they were really amused at how we can tapao everything. We asked for a leetle bit more rice and they gave us a huge bowl. In the end they tapaoed the rice for us as well!

After which we went to CAM market so that mummy can buy lots of ingredients to cook for ME muahaha.

So I took leave on weds instead to bring them to pittsburgh! Oh actually I went for a meeting in the morning and left only at 11ish. Daddy loves taking photos of me pumping petrol dunno why. So when we reached pittsburgh, it was really crowded! Cos we were in the campus and lots of students were around. Which translates to no parking lots!

In the first place there are mostly parallel parking lots. Now plus it was crowded.. tsk.. so terrorizing. mummy was so amused that i was so traumatized at the parking situation. Luckily I found a parking lot that was at a 45 deg angle.. muahaha.

Nice place.. Though we spent 4 hours driving, and only about 2 hours touring.

a song

was plonking on my keyboard to 'wo yuan yi wei ni' and suddenly i started playing this tune.. it wasn't until i reached the chorus that I realised what song it was. And now I can't stop singing it. It's a song i sung in primary 5/6, on our prefect's investiture to welcome the new pri 4 prefects. Still remember playing the piano in pri 6 for this song, 'pass it on' and some tune while the pri 4 prefects walk up the stage. so, the song as i remember it.

daddy and mummy are safely back at home! so, i finally have some time to catch up on blogging. yday at the airport i hugged them goodbye and thanked them for flying round half the globe to find me and take care of me. dad said that no, i was the one who took care of them.

as i was driving home i thought of what he said and it finally dawned on me that im not as dependent on them anymore. when schooling i was still dependent on them for pocket money and staying with them [and i will be after i go back, duh].. they even took care of hall fees and even my singtel bill is taken care of by dad haha so shameless. and tears started rolling down my cheeks for the whole journey back.

they're the ones who miss me the most, yet they were the ones who supported my decision to relocate straight away. it's so dumb that i didnt realise how much i missed them until they left me again.

anyway, to make up for my weird emotional trip i went to marcs and bought loads of makeup haha. bought 2x revlon 12h eyeshadow palettes in green and brown hues, and 4 opi shades!! grand central carnation, blushingham palace, 20 candles on my cake, innsbruck bronze, and also sally hansen's megashine topcoat, not cos ive run out but simply cos its so cheap here. yay. i wanna buy lots more opi colors!!! ahhh.. i also bought 4 pieces of garlic and a 1L bottle of lemon-lime gatorade. how random.

yes! spring is here, weather is warmer and time for my toes to resurface after being smothered in covered shoes. time for me to hone my lousy mani/pedi skills! im also supposed to be jogging cos im like how round now and im afraid no one will ask me out for suppers after i'm back in spore.
