started the day with a chicken teriyaki subway sandwich. I rike. Oh, notice my hair? I cut it myself!!! it is really addictive once i start cutting i can't stop.. and it isnt all that difficult.. nxt time I can cut my own fringe liao. Well I cut it myself because the hair salons here can't be trusted man. They look really orbit like those aunty kinds. And the guys' haircuts have proven that they cannot make it. Most of them came back with super short army hair.. the poor things. Not cheap summore! The hair at the back is a lot more challenging though, luckily my hair is always messy so i just contributed to the mess. But when my hair dresser sees it nxt yr she's so gonna kill me haha.
Short North
Short North, and my lil cherry air freshener. It's supposed to be an artsy place and all.. Read that it was a nice place to visit, kinda like SoHo of NYC but we only drove by and by the look of things it didn't look terribly exciting. Also has many pubs and gay pubs.
Again, we just drove by.. The only thing I know about this place is that the roads are made of bricks. Heh heh. And they sell German sausages, fudge, pastries. Beer as well I suppose. We didn't stay to eat the sausages/cream puffs (humongous) though even though Felix was probably hungry. I don't know why we didn't. Maybe we didn't look hungry so Felix brought us away. Well each sausage was like, $4 so i guess that was a good choice.
Easton Town Center
We next went to Polaris Mall where we decided it was not worth spending time there, and went down to Easton Town Center, which is entirely like Legacy Village. Bigger I guess.
Ruth's Chris Steak House
After a boliao walk in easton town center where I didn't buy anything except the smoothie [we're here to check out the scenery not shop right!] we went for a steak dinner..
best calamari i've ever had. the pretty yellow thing is the lemon! i didnt even know until felix started squeezing it. hurhur. so pretty hor!!!
my petite filet of medium steak [really petite leh. and no more medium rare for me after merlion incident] and the remains of an ONION RING. it is so huge that it has to be in capital letters. dunno how they grow their ONIONS one.
steak was Fantastic.
After which, we drove around a lil, down to a lake near the zoo, but too bad it was all dark and we cldn't see a thing. Haiya, shld have gone there in the afternoon instead of the shopping malls!! And felix was to catch a movie that night and he sent himself home first. Hope he wasn't late for his movie.
So that was my columbus trip. Nothing fantastically exciting like I said, but the company was great, felix was hilarious and a great host/tourguide. The highlight would be the steak [heehee] and seeing the throngs of red-clad OSU football fans congregating at the stadiums. priceless. Well, it was also great that I hardly spent any money that day.. cheapest 'holiday' ever. heeheeee... ok back to work.
